Following a Russian invasion in Ukraine, Ukrainian NBA players Oleksiy Len and Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk issued a statement regarding the war in their homeland.

"We pray for our families, friends, relatives and all the people who are in the territory of Ukraine," Len and Mykhailiuk continue. "We hope for an end to this terrible war as soon as possible. Dear fellow Ukrainians, hold on! Our strength is in unity! We are with you!"
Len was born in Antratsyt, a small town in the Luhansk region, a place where the invasion initially started. Mykhailiuk was born not so far from there as well, in the city of Cherkasy.
Len is an NBA veteran of 9 years, while the 2021-2022 season is the third in Mykhailiuk's career. Len averages 6.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists for the Sacramento Kings, while Mykhailiuk averages 5.3 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 0.9 assists for the Toronto Raptors.
