A 44-25 third quarter powered the visitors and they ran away with the win 123-95, leaving the Lakers at risk of falling out of the play-in.The 2020 champs sit 9th in the West Conference, just ahead of Portland.LeBron James had 32 points and 7 turnovers while Russell Westbrook had 16 points on 5/15 shooting from the field with 7 turnovers.Midway through the third quarter with the Lakers trailing by 19 points, James tried a baseline bounce pass that did not come close. It was his sixth turnover of the game and the team’s 18th. As James headed to the other end of the court, fans at Crypto.com Arena even booed the team and its superstar. As a team, Los Angeles turned the ball over 23 times.

"I don’t want to speak for anyone else. But I think, with what is going on with the season, injuries and different things, even the crowd booing today.

It is a lot for somebody who is not accustomed to it. It can take a toll," explained Russell Westbrook during the postgame press conference.

"I am going to stay positive and keep encouraging my teammates, keep building confidence in our locker room, regardless of what is going on."

The 33-year-old guard made clear that the boos from the crowd have no effect on him.“Take it home for what? I got three beautiful kids at my house, my wife. Ain't taking it home. They take their boo and they take their ass home. I ain’t worried about that, doesn’t bother me, that’s the part and I’m not really worried about it at all. That’s how I deal with it," Westbrook continued."I can roll off my shoulder when I go home. But as for our team, I have to think of something that you got to deal with and kind of move forward.""Coming off the break, we have not been our sharpest and we understand that. Missed our make shots, that is part of the game. But playing hard is something we can’t allow ourselves not to do," he noted.

"We have to figure how to get a win, the best way we know. Just try to play the right basketball."

LeBron James said he's determined to improve down the road, pointing out that making seven turnovers is not exactly the recipe for success. "I am always trying to figure out ways to be better," the 37-year-old future Hall of Famer said.

"Obviously, seven turnovers is not an ingredient for winning basketball for myself. I hold myself accountable for that," he stressed.

"That’s just my mindset I always have throughout every year of my career. Ways I can be better, no matter if we are winning or losing. I always try to figure that part out."
