Sarunas Jasikevicius could not hide his concerns about the war in Ukraine after the game FC Barcelona played against Morabanc Andorra this Tuesday.

The Lithuanian mastermind made an amazing speech expressing his sadness due to the harsh images we are seeing these days in social media.

"I feel really bad, to be honest. I am all the time focused on the TV, watching CNN or BBC. Every morning we come here with my staff and we try to talk about basketball, but it's not easy", Saras said.

"It's unavoidable to wake up, pick up your smartphone and see what's going on. I hope Kyiv is still in Ukrainian hands. You expect a lot of news after the night. You have worries from everybody", added Jasikevicius.

FC Barcelona's head coach continued his statement heading down to all the Spanish population.

"Maybe you don't realize the situation here. We have always lived in that part of the world and we are aware of what is going on. We have to take this seriously. This has to stop now.

This country (Spain) has to be a little more aggressive. I know I'm getting in where I'm not wanted, but that's the way I think", he said roundly.

Jasikevicius revealed he is following the Lithuanian government's advice.

"We do not know how far this man can go. One way or another we have to try to help the Ukrainians. As a citizen of Lithuania, I will follow the advice of my government, putting basketball in the back seat, if necessary. I think in the next few days we will announce something about it".

Sarunas concluded his speech forcefully.

"This has to stop. It's a man's old ambition. This can't go any further. If people think they are living too far away they are wrong. I have always been against politics, but this is not politics, this is a war. You go on Facebook or see pictures and you feel terrible. It's going to be a stain on our lives. This is worse than the pandemic".
