Moreover, last summer, Brogdon came to Poland and even had a few practices with Pawel Leonczyk, a player of Trefl Sopot.
The 29-year-old represented the United States national team at the 2015 Pan American Games, where he won a bronze medal. However, this competition is not organized by FIBA, so theoretically, Brogdon has not played a single game for Team USA at the senior level.
The 1.96-meter athlete emerged as the Pacers' leading scorer last season. Now, Brogdon is in his sixth NBA season after being drafted in the second round out of Virginia by the Milwaukee Bucks in 2016. Earning Rookie of the Year honors in the 2016-17 season, he averaged 12.8 points a game in three seasons with the Bucks before he was traded to the Pacers.
Malcolm Brogdon is posting 18.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 5.9 assists over 31 games (33 minutes) this campaign.
The next major, international basketball tournament awaits in Autumn. The EuroBasket 2022 is scheduled for September 1-18. The Poles will play in Group D, where they will face Serbia, the Czech Republic, Finland, Israel, and the Netherlands.
