Bradley Beal's current contract with the Washington Wizards includes a player option that can be enforced after this NBA season concludes. However, it seems like Beal is willing to sign a new contract extension instead of picking up his player option.

After being asked if he plans to re-sign with the Wizards, where he spent his entire career, Beal nodded and said: "That's fair," Ava Wallace of Port Sports reports.

If Beal decides to opt out of his current contract, he would be eligible to sign a new five-year, $246M deal with the Wizards. If he were to sign that contract now, it would be the largest contract in NBA history.

The 28-year-old Beal is averaging 23.2 points (30% 3PT), 6.6 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 0.9 steals over 36 minutes of action. His Wizards are currently 11th in the Eastern Conference, with 28 wins and 33 losses.
