"The easiest thing for everyone is to say 'no comment', but we all should be aware of what's happening. If it doesn't stop now, when will it stop?", said Tomic on Catalan radio RAC1.
"Some of us have the bad experience of having been in a war and all that it entails. This has to stop immediately, one way or another. This is the only thing I can tell right now", the Croatian center added.
Tomic continued his explanation, remembering an image with his uncle.
"At home, we talked a lot about the war. I remember a few things because I was very young. But in a war, everything goes wrong. You can't find anything positive", he ensured.
"I used to live with my uncle as a child. I have the image of him and my father coming home with a rifle. Having something like that at home makes you understand what's going on", Tomic concluded.
The big man of Joventut Badalona is averaging 10 points, 5.3 rebounds and a career-high 3.9 assists per game in the Eurocup.
