"If we don't make the Play-In, this (Westbrook) trade could go down as the worst trade in Lakers history," Johnson said. "If we don't get out the Play-In game, that's what will happen."
The 12-time NBA All-Star also added that Westbrook needs to concentrate more on finding his rhythm rather than discussing things with the media.
"Westbrook, quit battling the press, take ownership and accountability. … I'm tired of excuses, it's time to take ownership and say 'I just been playing poorly'."
The Purple & Gold acquired former MVP and Wizards point guard Russell Westbrook in exchange for Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Montrezl Harrell, and the draft rights to Isaiah Jackson.
So far in 2021-22, the nine-time All-Star is averaging his lowest points per game since his second season in the NBA.
Westbrook is registering 18.1 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 7.3 assists over 61 games this campaign.
