Contrarily to Obradovic, Lessort shared a short message on his Twitter account.

"If it's not about their people, they don't care," Lessort tweeted. "Stop the wars, not only the one that affect you."

Obradovic was asked for comment about the war in Ukraine after Tuesday's loss in the 7DAYS EuroCup against Lietkabelis Panevezys. However, the Serbian coach distanced himself from the strict answer.

"I don't want to make any statement. Statements are good. But this is not the first time it happened in our life. I'm 62 years old. I remember a lot of things in my life. But I will remember what people also talked at that moment about this," he said. "My country was under bombing in 1999. But I didn't see people react and talk."

He also used the examples of Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan.

"Also, in Iraq. Also, in Siria. Also, in Afghanistan. Did anybody talk about this at that moment?" Obradovic added. "Of course, personally, I'm against any kind of war in the world. Any single person who died because of the war is terrible. But there is something little bit more inside if we discuss about this."
