Luka Doncic is one of the premier superstars of the NBA. His seemingly endless array of moves makes many opponents struggle to defend him. One of them, Patrick Beverley, went to a ThreeFourTwo podcast and explained what makes the Slovenian wunderkind such a tough matchup.

"His intelligence. He's physical as f**k and flops at the same time, which is the exact same thing I do. Physical as f**k, 'swipe at me, imma 'Oh, he's trying to kill me', he's the exact same," Beverley explained.

"He initiates the contact, hits you. As basketball players, you can feel, you know, the muscle, and it's no muscle with him," the guard continued. "There's no discredit to his body or anything, but that's just how he's made up. You know, he's that flabby solid type."

"He's just leaning on you, then you lean on him back, and he puts his hands up and puts a lot of pressure on the referee. You can't really guard him physically like the type I wanna guard him. He did a good job exploiting that, a really good job," Beverley finished his thoughts.

Doncic is averaging 28.1 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 8.6 assists for theDallas Mavericksthis season. On the other end, Patrick Beverley, who is mostly known for his defensive skills, is averaging 9.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.8 assists for theMinnesota Timberwolves.
