"He's not ready for even one-on-one, let alone three-on-three, five-on-five," Nash told reporters Saturday, via Bleacher Report. "So, he's got to get to a place where he can go full speed unopposed, one-on-oh, and then we'll talk about and hopefully quickly he can go to one-on-one, three-on-three, five-on-five."
On February 26, The Athletic's Shams Charania reported that the Australian sportsman is dealing with back soreness in a reconditioning process. The latter requires further strengthening of the area over a period of time before returning to action.
The Nets acquired Simmons and others at the trade deadline, sending James Harden to the Sixers.
Ben Simmons was a three-time All-Star in four seasons with Philadelphia. He averaged 15.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.7 assists.
