Shavon Shields is coming back from an almost three-month absence, according to the official report of AX Armani Exchange Milan.

He is set to return on the court today when Milan will host Pallacanestro Trieste at Mediolanum Forum in the Lega Basket Serie A (17:30 CET).

Shields suffered a right-hand fracture in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague game against Real Madrid on December 16, 2021.

With 44 seconds left on the clock, Shields drove to the basket but after a contact with Rudy Fernandez, he fell and started to experience pain in his right wrist. After the foul, Shields was unable to shoot the free throws and didn't enter the game again.

The sustained severe injury required surgery, which was performed on December 21.

The 27-year-old Shields is averaging 12.6 points, 4 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.1 steals, and 14.6 PIR over 16 EuroLeague duels this season.

Milan sits third in the EuroLeague standings with 16 wins and 7 defeats.

Their Italian league record marks 17 wins and 2 losses. Such a result grants Armani Exchange first place in the table.
