There were speculations during the last several years that Garnett had beef with Ray Allen, one of the members of the 2008 Celtics' Big Three. "It was more than basketball for us… It felt like a sour breakup," KG said four years ago.

It seems like the hatched has been buried. When Garnett got the chance to a microphone, he almost immediately made sure that Allen gets the respect he deserves.

"It's good to see Ray Allen here," Garnett said. "Real s---. It's good to see you, man. You next, dog."

"Yeah, that's a big one," said Philadelphia's Doc Rivers, who coached the famous 2008 title team, when asked about Allen being in attendance. "Because that's been a problem, obviously, and the fact that it looks like the fence is finally coming down is really cool."

Allen himself did not want to be a troublemaker, an outsider. "I don't like being on the outside," the legendary three-point specialist said. "There's so many people here that I love, that I spent time with ... those people, they're etched in my mind when it comes to my time spent here in Boston, and to not be able to connect with them was always -- it was always tough for me."

"Just because I moved away doesn't mean that relationship, that friendship, ends. So it did center around Kevin and myself because I did get the sense that the people here felt how Kevin felt," Allen continued. "Once he accepted me, then the people accepted me. That was the sense. I was glad we could do that and people could see, 'We won with this guy in 2008, and that's what matters most.'"

The entire Big Three of Garnett, Allen, and Paul Pierce then reunited and just hugged it out in an emotional moment for the entire arena.

"Antoine Walker, before I came here, he pulled me to the side and he just gave me some great words of wisdom and I took that into the press conference," Garnett told during the ceremony. "The first thing I did after the press conference was come in here and look up at the rafters."

"I just manifested, not only a championship, but being immortal in the ceiling, you know what I'm saying? So safe to say I manifested this," Garnett finished his thoughts.

In his six seasons with the Celtics, Garnett made five All-Star teams, four All-Defensive teams, and became the Defensive Player of the Year during that same year of 2008 when he won the championship with the Big Three.

Before joining the Celtics, KG played for the Minnesota Timberwolves for 12 seasons. His no. 21 jersey hasn't been retired in Minneapolis, and Garnett has publicly denied the chance to attend the ceremony if the team chose to retire his number.
