San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich is an NBA coaching legend. Having coached many all-time greats and all-NBA superstars, Pop is one of the greatest to ever do it. Known for his compassionate style of instilling his ideas to his players, there are numerous stories that come out about the legendary coach.

Chicago Bulls guard DeMar DeRozan played three seasons for the Spurs, but there is one film session the NBA superstar will not forget. It involved watching a penguins movie on National Geographic.

"I remember Pop made us watch a penguin National Geographic movie," DeRozan told ESPN's Jamal Collier. "It was very interesting. It was basically learning about teamwork. How to come together as one and go after a common goal, whatever that goal was. I thought it was going to be a day where we watch film. But we watched a full penguin movie -- and it was the most interesting s---."

"How they migrate. How the males watch the eggs while the female goes out for X amount of months to go collect food. How they walk 60 miles to the water and 60 miles back while the males watch -- it was the most craziest s---," the former spur continued. "But everybody basically playing their role. But to look at it from the perspective of penguins, that's some Pop s---."

Popovich became an all-time winningest coach Friday night after the Spurs beat the Utah Jazz after orchestrating a 4th quarter comeback. With 1336 wins in his account, Popovich now sits alone at the top of all coaches in NBA history.

DeRozan averages 28.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game for the Bulls this season. He was selected to be an All-Star starter as well. "It's top," he said after the All-Star Weekend. "It's hard to go against the first time I was here [at All-Star]. But to be here again after everything I went through, it's sweet."
