Double-doubles are a usual business in the NBA, while registering double-figures in two statistical categories in Europe is a tough challenge.

Overall, a double-double in EuroLeague is a rare sighting. On average there are only 101.9 double-doubles per season. For instance, this season we've had 82 of them in total.

Mirsad Turkcan is an all-time leader by double-doubles in the strongest continental league. In 129 games, he has recorded 50 of them.

The 2.06-meter big man, who played 10 seasons in EuroLeague, has a career average of a double-double: 11.8 points and 10.0 rebounds. He is one of two such players, another is Joseph Blair.

Turkcan's personal high is 23 rebounds, that's the second-best result all-time. Antonis Fotsis is the EuroLeague record holder with 24 boards per game.

The second on the double-double machines list is Nick Calathes with 42 such performances.

The Greek point guard recently became the all-time assists leader in EuroLeague history, surpassing Vassilis Spanoulis. Nothing strange most of his double-doubles come in counting points and assists.

Another Greek basketball great, Ioannis Bourousis is lurking behind the mentioned duo. He has 39 double-doubles in his EuroLeague resume.

The 2.11-meter center strongly contributed to double-doubles, which are counted PTS+RBS. In general, that's the most common double-double, which compiles 88% of all EuroLeague double-doubles. 11.9% of all them are PTS+AST.

In EuroLeague history, there were four super rare double-doubles.

Jeff Trepagnier scored 18 points and stole the ball over 11 times. Stefano Mancinelli had 20 points and 10 steals. Stojan Vrankovic recorded 15 rebounds and 10 blocks, while Luke Sikma posted a double-double of 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

If double-double is a rare thing in the strongest continental league, then a triple-double is the task at a completely different level. Only two players achieved such result during their careers in the EuroLeague.

Nikola Vujcic has done it twice. First time he posted a triple-double in the 2005-06 season, scoring 11 points, grabbing 12 rebounds, and dishing 11 assists. The second triple-double came a season after. Then, the Croatian big man had 27 points, 10 boards, and 10 assists.

Nick Calathes is the other athlete, who has such an achievement in his disposition. In the 2018-19 EuroLeague campaign, the 33-year-old accumulated 11 points, 12 rebounds, and 18 assists.

Worth mentioning that Calathes is a clear double-doubles' leader among active sportsmen.

Some EuroLeague players could not register a single double-double, despite playing a decent number of games throughout their careers.

For example, Jaycee Carroll has played 274 EuroLeague contests and established himself as an arguably best sharpshooter in the league. However, he has never been close to a double-digit number in other statistical categories apart from points.

His career highs: 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks.
