Former No.2 pick in the NBA Draft Michael Beasley was a guest on the Pivot podcast, hosted by three former NFL players. During the show, Beasley was very sincere and opened up about his struggles with mental health, and broke down in tears at one point during the show.
Beasley explained that during his life and NBA career, many people betrayed him, trying to steal money from him.
"I don't know no one that ain't stole from me. Everybody except for my kids stole from me," Beasley said during the interview.
The former Miami Heat player said that he has struggled to find good people in his life and that now he has very little energy left.
"I've been trying to find good people for so long, man. I'm tired, bro. You know, I have got so... (Beasley used his hand to explain he has very little energy in himself at this point)".
This situation brought Beasley to close himself to other people, he explained that now he only plays basketball and then goes back home to his kids.
"I don't talk to nobody right now," the player explained. "I've spoken to people before, I'm not going to make my problem your problems."
Beasley is currently a free agent. His most recent experience was with Cangrejeros de Santurce in Puerto Rico at the beginning of the 2021-2022 season.
