In the preceding play, DeAndre Lansdowne had made it 103-102 for the visitors and only one second was left on the game clock. But Bacon had the last laugh, as Monaco snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.
Strasbourg had the upper hand in the game for the most part, but the hosts bounced back in the fourth quarter and Mike James tied it at 89 apiece at the end of regulation.
After this result, Monaco approached LNB leaders Boulogne Metropolitans (17-6) even more, while Strasbourg dropped to seventh place in the standings. Bacon finished with 24 points, leading all game scorers, while Alpha Diallo added 18 and Mike James 17 for Sasa Obradovic's squad which is still in the EuroLeague playoff run (11-13).
On the other hand, Strasbourg had several chances to claim their second victory of the season over Monaco, but came up short in the last second. Matt Mitchell put up 20 points, while Ike Udanoh, Gaylor Curier, DeAndre Lansdowne and Kameron Taylor also scored in double digits.
