The big man talked with Warriors' forward Draymond Green, who hosts a podcast, and explained why he took the nickname 'The Process' and his relationship with Sam Hinkie.
"Well, first of all, I got drafted by Sam Hinkie. He's the reason why the Sixers were able to draft me and have these many picks and all that stuff", Embiid said. "During my second year in the NBA, Hinkie was basically forced out. I don't wanna say names, but you know how outspoken I am, so I'll say it: it was the NBA."
"I don't know who specifically, but I think that's what it was. They basically forced him out, and I didn't like it."
"I know that in the league they didn't like 'The Process'," Embiid added. "And then I was like 'you know what?' I'm gonna piss some people off., So that's why I started to push the agenda. I'm gonna support my man because he drafted me, he believed in me".
