Crawford quoted a Jay-Z song "December 4th" in his tweet: "Goodbye to the game, all the spoils the adrenaline rush." The player finished his message with a simple goodbye: "Thank you basketball, I owe you everything".
Crawford is the only three-time NBA Sixth Man of the Year winner in the league's history. He also became a Teammate of the Year in 2018 while playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
