The Kings said in a statement that an MRI revealed no structural damage.
Sabonis, a two-time All-Star, who was acquired in a trade deadline deal with Indiana, injured his knee in a collision with Phoenix Suns forward Mikal Bridges on Sunday.
In that game, the Lithuanian big man finished with 18 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists in 31 minutes. He was coming off of his biggest game of the season in Friday’s loss to the Boston Celtics after becoming the first Kings player to have 30 points and 20 rebounds in a game since DeMarcus Cousins on Nov. 28, 2016.
The Kings acquired Sabonis, Justin Holiday and Jeremy Lamb in the deal that sent Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield and Tristan Thompson to the Pacers ahead of the February trade deadline. Sabonis has averaged 18.9 points, 12.3 rebounds and 5.8 assists in 15 games for Sacramento.
According to Ham, we might also have seen the last of De'Aaron Fox this season, as the Sacramento Kings star point guard has long been listed as questionable due to a hand injury.
In a recent tweet, Ham said that "Fox’s right hand is showing improvement, but he has not yet returned to basketball activities. He is with the team on the road trip, but expected to remain out."
24-year-old Fox has averaged 23.2 points and 5.6 assists over 50 games with the Kings throughout the current campaign.
