Boston Celtics big man Robert Williams has suffered a meniscus tear in his left knee and will minimally miss several weeks, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

Williams has been an immense part of the NBA's best defense as the starting center this season.

The 24-year-old averaged 10.0 points, 9.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.2 blocks over 61 starts this campaign.

He has career averages of 7.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks in 174 games (77 starts) for the Celtics, who selected him No. 27 overall in the 2018 draft.
