Lithuanian national team head coach Kazys Maksvytis visited Orlando to have a conversation with Magic player Ignas Brazdeikis, who is ready to represent Lithuania in major international basketball events.

In January 2020, he officially applied to have his Lithuanian citizenship restored. On May 5, 2021, his Lithuanian nationality was reinstated.
"The meeting was very good. We got to know each other and shared our expectations for this summer and moving forward. It went very well. He (Kazys Maksvytis) seems like a very good person, who understands basketball very well. He is very passionate about his job," Brazdeikis spoke regarding the meeting with a coach.
The 23-year-old also added: "I want to play, and I will play for Lithuania."
For his part, Kazys Maksvytis was delighted with the eye-to-eye meet-up as well.
"The meeting was successful, we got to know each other. Ignas expressed a great desire to represent Lithuania," the basketball specialist said.
On Brazdeikis' qualities, the head coach told: "Ignas is a versatile player, who can play in several positions. He is left-handed, but can equally penetrate the rim in both directions."
Ignas Brazdeikis is playing his third season in the NBA. The 1.98-meter athlete is averaging 4.2 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 0.8 assists over 39 games this campaign.
