Paolo Banchero falls down in latest ESPN Mock Draft / News - Basketnews.com
After the 2022 NCAA Tournament final, the attention now turns to the 2022 NBA Draft, which will take place on June 23.
Italian/American prospect Paolo Banchero dropped to the No. 3 spot from position two in the latest edition of the ESPN NBA Mock Draft.
The 19-year-old was the only projected top-3 draft pick that competed in the Final Four last weekend.
Although he scored 20 points and grabbed 10 boards in the losing effort against North Carolina, Banchero needed 17 attempts to reach this mark and he also didn't score a single bucket over the last 7:37 minutes, which showed some doubts about his abilities to play in clutch time.
Banchero averaged 17.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists over 39 games this season.
Duke's forward is lurking behind Gonzaga unicorn Chet Holmgren and Jabari Smith, who are currently the No. 1 and No. 2 prospects respectively in Jonathan Givony's Mock Draft.
The No. 4 draft pick is expected to be Jaden Ivey, the guard from Purdue University, while No. 5 pick is projected for forward/center Keegan Murray from Iowa University.
