The 31-year-old had productive stints in Minnesota, Washington, Utah, and Milwaukee this season, completing a 10-day with the Jazz on Wednesday.

The veteran of 10 NBA seasons has played for nine teams in his NBA career, which started in the 2010-11 season after he was the seventh overall draft pick by the Detroit Pistons.

In 13 NBA duels this campaign, Monroe has averaged 5.2 points and 4.7 rebounds over 13.6 minutes per game.

In 645 career NBA matches (417 starts), he has averaged 13.0 points, 8.2 boards, and 2.1 assists.

Monroe also has European basketball experience. He represented FC Bayern Munich (2019-20) and Khimki Moscow Region (2020-21) in the EuroLeague competition.

The Timberwolves (45-35) have two regular-season games remaining. They are the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference entering Thursday's game against the visiting San Antonio Spurs and are currently pegged for the play-in tournament.

The Denver Nuggets are two games ahead of the Timberwolves with two games to play, but Minnesota holds the tiebreaker between the clubs, however.
