Bane leads Morant-less Grizzlies past banged-up Mavs, 104-88
DALLAS (AP) —Desmond Bane scored 23 points and the Memphis Grizzlies won asecond consecutive game against the Mavericks, beating Dallas104-88 on Monday night.
Dallas waswithout its two All-Stars, Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, who satwith injuries.
Ja Morantremained away from the Grizzlies because of his issues off thecourt. Morant checked himself into a a counseling program inFlorida and there's currently no timetable for him to return to theteam, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Monday evening.
Rookie DavidRoddy scored 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting for Memphis.
Mavs rookieJaden Hardy scored 28 points, as Dallas dropped under .500 for thefirst time since December. Josh Green was the only other Mavericksplayer to score double figures with 23 points.
