Following an unsuccessful 2021-2022 EuroLeague season, Zalgiris Kaunas are paving the way for a more desirable result next year. The team has extended contracts with two of their main players - Edgaras Ulanovas and Lukas Lekavicius.

Lekavicius, on the other end, signed a new three-year deal, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2024-2025 season.
Lekavicius was the only Zalgiris player who averaged more than 10 points per game in the EuroLeague with a 10.2 point average in his account. The guard also averaged 4.2 assists and 10.9 PIR points per game.
After a rough start to the season, Ulanovas blossomed in the second part of the EuroLeague year.
