Sopron Basket have been crowned the new EuroLeague Women champions, celebrating the club's maiden title in front of an impressive crowd of 9,500 at the Ulker Sports Arena in Istanbul.

The perennial champions of Hungary made history with a60-55triumph over Final Four hosts Fenerbahce Safiport in Sunday’s title-decider to become the first Hungarian club to win the competition.

Gabby Williams was the hero of the night for the Hungarian side. She finished with 16 points, 4 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists.

Fenerbahce had a difficult shooting night and failed to win the trophy in front of their fans.

The atmosphere in the Ulker Sports Arena was absolutely fantastic and created an even better game.

When asked by BasketNews about the atmosphere in the arena, Gabby Williams compared it to the one she experienced when she won the NCAA title with UConn.

"We never let them actually turn the atmosphere into what it actually was", Williams told BasketNews. "That was the plan from the beginning".
