JR Smith revealed some things about that period, saying that the players were smoking weed to get out of the situation.

"We were constantly smoking weed. So we got out of the situation. I'm glad this happened, because there was an opinion that we could not play well. When we went to the bubble, many players could not perform well in empty stands, but we finally saw a good basketball,"JR Smith stated.

"It is not like alcohol. You can‘t score 60 points while being drunk. Smoking a weed let you feel physically and mentally calm," added former NBA player.

One of the best NBA players right now, Kevin Durant has long advocated for the legal use of marijuana, while he has become an investor in that sector. He also had a goal to remove any remaining stigma about negative impact of the weed.

The 16-year NBA vet last appeared in the league in 2019-20, when he saw game action six times for theLos Angeles Lakers. A former first-round pick of the then-New Orleans Hornets in 2004, the guard has career averages of 12.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per contest over 977 career games (395 starts).
