Ettore Messina, coach and president of basketball operations of AX Armani Exchange Milan, took some time after the win against Napoli Basket to express some doubts about the quality of the Serie A referees.

"In this league, there's a lot of good players and coaches, the level is improving, but there's still something missing when it comes to the referees", Messina said after the game.

"On a communication level, I believe there's a lot of work to do. Set of referees without rhyme or reason, it's hard to understand who's the head referee".

"There's the need for someone who takes some responsibilities on the court, from that perspective the level is still pretty low and I don't see improvements", Messina continued. "Today there were moments in which they didn't answer or not even look me in the face. You can win or lose but the relationship on the court must definitely improve".

Milan earned an easy victory against Napoli Basket earlier today ahead of the EuroLeague playoffs where they will meet Anadolu Efes Istanbul, who also earned a win in the local league's matchup against Bursaspor.
