Strong team effort gave Virtus Bologna (23-3) their 23rd win in the Italian Basketball League (LBA) 96-77 (23-24, 20-13, 27-13, 26-27) against Carpena Prosciutto Pesaro (12-15) to solidify the 1st place in the standings.

The first quarter was mostly equal as both teams traded baskets with neither amounting to a more significant lead. The second quarter was a different story though.

Virtus went on a 14-0 run to build themselves an 11-point lead (37-24). Pesaro cut the lead down to six though to end the half, but it was too much for them to defend against a balanced Virtus attack throughout the remainder of the match.

Virtus dominated in the 3rd quarter and the teams headed to the final 10 minutes separated already by 20 points. The EuroCup powerhouse maintained its lead and ultimately snatched the victory.
