After huge changes in administration and coaching staff, Panathinaikos OPAP Athens (18-2) won against Lavrio Megabolt (7-14) in the Greek League Game with the final score of 91-82(17-25, 28-20, 26-15, 21-21).

Evans responded with 4 points in a row and PAO got 10-points lead again (87-77) with 2:34 left. Lavrio answered with couple of free-throws (79-89), but Lefteris Mantzoukas sealed the deal for PAO on the other end with a layup (91-79), clinching the first win for coach Georgios Vovoras.
Darryl Macon (1/3 2PT, 5/8 3PT, 4/4 FT) and Ioannis Papapetrou (7/8 2PT, 1/5 3PT, 4/5) led Panathinaikos both ending with 21 points.
On the opposing side, Rashant Vaughn was the high-scorer for Lavrio, ending with 19 points (5/8 2PT, 2/7 3PT, 3/3 FT) and 6 rebounds.
After a tied first minutes of the game, Lavrio made a 11-0 scoring run and build an early double-digit lead (23-13) after the first quarter.
Panathinaikos began to find the rhythm in the second period, and with a couple of three-pointers from Darryl Macon Jr and another one from Jeremy Evans, they found their first lead (35-34) since the beginning of the game. Both teams exchanged the triples in the end of the first half and entered the halftime with a tied score (45-45).
Macon Jr started the second half with two consecutive 3-pointers, Okaro White and Ioannis Papapetrou made a pair of layups, that let Panathinaikos to build eleven points lead (58-47).
Matt Williams Jr responded with three 3-pointers in less than 2 minutes and Lavrio cut the deficit just to 2 points (58-60). However, Macon Jr initiated a late 8-0 push to retake more comfortable lead (71-60) before the fourth quarter.
Christos Serelis, who took over the assistant role position at PAO last Thursday, had a moment with his former players before heading to his current team's bench. Serelis had been coaching Lavrio since 2004.
