Suns star Devin Booker leaves Game 2 with hamstring tightness / News - Basketnews.com
Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker departed Tuesday night's playoff game against the visiting New Orleans Pelicans due to right hamstring toughness, though the severity of the injury was unknown.
Booker exited with 4:35 left in the third quarter and headed back to the locker room to be examined, and the Suns went on to lose 125-114.
Suns coach Monty Williams said of Booker's injury, "I think it happened on one play when he was trying to track down someone in transition. That's where I think it happened. Other than that, we don't have much else to say about it. But it is a hamstring issue."
Booker scored 31 points -- all in the first half -- before exiting. He made 12 of 19 field-goal attempts and 7 of 11 from 3-point range.
Booker scored 25 points in Game 1 when the Suns opened the Western Conference first-round series with a 110-99 win on Sunday night.
Charles Barkley commenting on Bookers' injury, said: "As an athlete, you never want to hear that it's a hamstring. You never want to hear hamstring. It's unfortunate. It can feel great one second and feel bad the next."
