FC Bayern Munich top scorer Darrun Hilliard most likely will have to miss the rest of the season, per BasketNews sources.

As Bayern's head coach Andrea Trinchieri predicted straight after the game, a 29-year-old swingman suffered a clavicle fracture that will require surgery, BasketNews sources confirmed.

The injury timeline has not been verified yet, but Hilliard is not expected to return to the court this season.

Hilliard accidentally hit tough as rock Latvian big man Rolands Smits in the fourth quarter of the playoffs opener in Barcelona.

He tried to reach for the ball but ran into Smits like into the wall. Barcelona's frontcourt player was first to catch the ball. He slightly turned around, trying to protect the ball, and Hilliard hit the shoulder area badly.

Hilliard, in enormous pain, couldn‘t get up for a while.He went straight to the locker room and put all the Bayern‘s front office on heels. Soon he left for the hospital for further medical checks.

That's a massive blow for Bayern's playoff chances since they already had their primary point guard Corey Walden sidelined.

This season, Hilliard was the top scorer for Bayern, averaging 13.7 points per game.Before the injury, he had 12 points in 18 minutes of action.

Barcelona took the lead 1-0 in the best-of-five series.
