Despite Maik Kotsar's perfect shooting night, in the third quarter, the game started to slip away for Hamburg. Valencia's lockdown defense and offensive efficiency became hard to handle for the German club. At the end of the third quarter, Valencia were up by 15 (73-58).

For Valencia Basket, the top scorer was Jasiel Rivero with 21 points (8/8 2PT, 5/6 FT), 4 rebounds, 3 steals, and 25 PIR.

For Hamburg Towers, on the other hand, the top scorer was Maik Kotsar with 23 points (10/11 2PT, 3/4 FT), 6 rebounds, 2 steals, and 28 PIR.

In the second quarter, Valencia's interior presence was even more evident. The Spanish side feasted inside, with the help of Jasiel Rivero and Victor Claver. At the end of the half, Valencia had 11 offensive rebounds.

Maik Kotsar continued to be extremely effective for Hamburg, finishing the first 20 minutes with 13 points and 5 rebounds. The Spanish side finished the second quarter up by 7 (48-41).

The German side started the game well, finding a nice offensive flow with the shots made by Caleb Homsley and Jaylon Brown, giving the necessary fuel to begin the game with a 9-2 run. Valencia reacted with their physical presence and tied the game at 12.

In the final part of the first period, he was Estonian big Maik Kotsar who stepped up, helping Hamburg to finish with a three-point lead to finish the quarter (22-19).

Valencia Basket: Jasiel Rivero 21, Bojan Dubljevic 15 (9 REB), Martin Hermannsson 10 (6 AST)
