The Boston Celtics are leading 2-0 in their 2022 NBA Playoffs first-round series against the Brooklyn Nets.

Robert Williams

They have fulfilled their home-court advantage despite not having starting center Robert Williams available.

However, yesterday the news about Williams' return broke out. This comeback provides much optimism for the former Celtics player Kendrick Perkins, who expressed his bold prediction on ESPN.

"Robert Williams is coming back to this Celtics team. The way that they're playing right now, to me, is my favorite to win it all. When you look at Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Marcus Smart in a way that they are guarding Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, I do not know what other team has this type of players on the squad. The Celtics should not be worried about any other team than the Golden State Warriors, possibly," commented the NBA champion (2008).

"The Celtics are an offensive juggernaut the way they are moving the ball," he continued. "You got guys like Grant Williams stepping up and now you add the defensive present that could switch one to five. You could book it right now, I'm calling it: the Celtics are going to win their title this year if Robert Williams is the same version that we've seen before his injury."

Game 3 in the Nets-Celtics series is scheduled for the upcoming night in NYC.
