A lot of times we get it confused," the Golden State Warriors superstar Draymond Green told ESPN's Kendra Andrews. "No disrespect to Ja Morant, but Ja is an MVP candidate."
"Ja Morant isn't the Most Improved Player. He was f--king incredible last year," Green continued. "When you look around, the most improvement has been Jordan Poole and that goes without saying. He is the most improved."
"When you look at where he's come from, the steps he's taken," the forward explained. "He's been thrown into a position that not many guys would handle well, and that's essentially to do your best Steph Curry imitation."
Ja Morant averaged 19.1 points, 4 rebounds, and 7.4 assists last season. This year, his scoring numbers went significantly up with 27.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 6.7 assists, while his effective field goal percentage rose from 48.9% to 53%.
