The Serbian big man is eligible to sign a new supermax contract extension with the Denver Nuggets, which will be worth around $240 million, the largest in the history of the NBA.
After Game 5 against the Golden State Warriors, Jokic showed few doubts about his future in Denver and the contract extension.
"If the offer is on the table, of course, I'm gonna accept it," said the Serbian big man.
Jokic, who suffered an injury during Game 5, stressed that the physical issue wasn't anything serious and there's nothing to worry about.
"It wasn't something big, I was jumping a little weird," the Denver Nuggets big man said.
Now Jokic plans to return to Serbia as soon as possible, but his status for the 2022 EuroBasket in September is still unclear, although his agent Misko Raznatovic confessed that there are more chances to see him with the national team than last year.
