Panathinaikos OPAP Athens signed a contract withPeyton Siva for the rest of the season, according to the official report.

Last summer, Peyton Siva left ALBA Berlin for the New Zealand Breakers, after a five-year run in Germany. He averaged 11.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 4.6 assists in 23 NBL games this season.

The 31-year-old American guard was crowned NCAA champion with Rick Pitino's Louisville Cardinals in 2013.

That same year, he was chosen in the NBA draft with the 56th pick by the Detroit Pistons, for which he played one year. The Seattle-born athlete never really caught on in the NBA.

He has NBA career averages of 2.3 points, 0.6 rebounds, and 1.4 assists over 24 duels.

Upon coming to Europe, he first signed with Italian Juvecaserta and in 2016 with Aito Garcia Reneses' ALBA Berlin, which he guided to two BBL championships, in 2020 and 2021. In 2018, Siva was named to the All-BBL First Team.
