A ten-year EuroLeague veteran Nick Calathes recorded an impressive result that no other basketball player in the strongest continental league has achieved yet.

FC Barcelona's point guard became the first EuroLeague athlete, who grabbed 1,000 rebounds and dished 1,000 assists.

The only active EuroLeague player, who is closest to this achievement is Jan Vesely of Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul.

The 32-year-old Czech currently has a total of 1,378 rebounds and 456 assists.

Still, the gap between Calathes and Vesely is huge. The Greek guard has 1,005 boards and 1,681 dimes in his EuroLeague resume. Moreover, his points count is at 2,629.

The 33-year-old Calathes is averaging 7.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 6.2 assists over 25 duels this season.
