"Obviously, he is my former teammate, arguably the MVP of this league,” Butler told reporters on Saturday. "I think I speak for everybody that's a part of this team, we want Jo to play. We want to go up against them at full strength and prove that we can hang with anybody and we can beat anybody," Butler added.
Butler, meanwhile, is also recovering from knee discomfort, although he said he feels ready to play again in the first game of the semis, which will be played in the early hours of Monday morning.
"I'm fine, there's another day in between. The time off has been good for me and others. We're all ready to compete," Butler said. Tyler Herro missed Friday's practice with a cold, while Kyle Lowry remains in a doubt with leg muscle soreness.
