On the occasion of Maccabi Tel Aviv's 90th anniversary, followers on the team's official Instagram page have chosen their all-time favorite players to ever wear the yellow-blue jersey.

In each position, a bracket was created, from the quarterfinals to the finals. Eight selected players competed head-to-head to climb from stage to stage, until the final where fans decided the winner in every position of the starting five, along with the head coach.

At point guard, Sarunas Jasikevicius beat Oded Kattash.

The Lithuanian maestro arrived in Tel Aviv from Barcelona in the summer of 2003, and immediately entered the hearts of all those sitting in the stands of Yad Eliyahu. With his unique and creative style, Jasikevicius led Maccabi to two consecutive EuroLeague trophies in 2004 and 2005.

At shooting guard, legendary Mickey Berkowitz defeated Derrick Sharp in the final.

Berkowitz played 16 seasons with Maccabi, identifying himself with the club like no other player before or since. He rose to prominence at the age of 17, and soon became the undisputed star of the team and the Israeli national team. He led Maccabi to two EuroLeague cups and another four final appearances, sweeping no less than 16 championships titles, 13 domestic Cups and one Intercontinental trophy.

At small forward, Anthony Parker outvoted David Blu.

The American swingman stayed in Maccabi for five season, in two different terms. Earning the nickname 'Michael Jordan of Europe', Parker won one FIBA SuproLeague in 2001 and two EuroLeagues with the team, in addition to a couple of EuroLeague MVP trophies.

At power forward, Omri Casspi surpassed Kevin Magee.

Although Casspiis the only player on the list who did not win the EuroLeague with Maccabi, he did something that no one else lays claim to - he planted the Israeli flag on NBA soil. Casspi starred in the Maccabi uniform at the age of 19 and was one of the most prominent young players in Europe, before he returned to end his career with two Israeli championship titles and one Cup.

At center, Sofoklis Schortsanitis ousted current team manager Nikola Vujicic.

'Big Sofo' also had two stints with Maccabi, with his first garnering him an All-EuroLeague First Team selection and a chance at the trophy in 2011, and the second crowning him a champion in 2014.

On the team's bench, fans preferred David Blatt over Ralph Klein.

The American-Israeli tactician spent a total of nine seasons with the club (6 as head coach and 3 as assistant coach).Pini Gershon won the most EuroLeagues and Ralph Klein did it first, but David Blatt's win in 2014 was perhaps the most impressive of all - because it took place in a different era and against all odds.
