Dante Exum questionable for the Final Four / News - Basketnews.com
FC Barcelona head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius revealed that Dante Exum might be questionable for the EuroLeague Final Four.
Player of the Game EFF 30 Nicolas Laprovittola Points 26 Accuracy 7-12 Rebounds 2 Assists 3
After the Game 5 victory in the playoff series vs. Bayern Munich 3-2, Saras said that Exum suffered an injury whose timeline might clash with the most anticipated event of the European basketball season.
"There is a tear in his muscle. He might miss 2-3 weeks," Jasikevicius told BasketNews after a decisive win 81-72.
The Final Four will be hosted in Belgrade on May 19-21. If Exum misses three weeks, he won't be able to help Barcelona to fight for the title.
"We still have to wait for the medical examinations. But there are some questions for sure," Jasikevicius added.
Barcelona's head coach confirmed that two other players spent 12 hours in the hospital just before the game.
"When I woke up this morning, I received a text message that Kyle Kuric was in the hospital, vomiting. The same happened with Brandon Davies yesterday. The situation didn't look really good," Jasikevicius said.
Kuric went scoreless in 8 minutes, while Davies had 8 points and 6 rebounds in 28 minutes. Exum finished the night with 2 points in 9 minutes of action.
