Olympiacos Piraeus have been sanctioned with a game to be played behind closed doors and fines totaling the amount of €53,001 for incidents generated by the public that seriously disturbed the course of the game, the failure to adopt all necessary preventive measures, the use of laser pointers, and the invasion of the court area on the occasion of its home game against AS Monaco under Article 29.1.g), 29.1.h), 29.2.f) and 29.2.i) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code, respectively," the announcement reads.
On Wednesday night, Euroleague Basketball issued their first announcement, condemning "the acts that took place during the last minutes" of the game.
"The lack of security during the game led to a court invasion with the game in progress, forcing the officiating crew to pause the game until the minimum safety conditions were recovered."
