I don't like to cry in front of people," Green started the press conference after tonight's match against the Memphis Grizzlies.
"What I will say is Hazel, and I are gonna donate $100,000 to a fund in Adreian's name," he then promised. "I call all of my Spartan family - coach Izzo, Magic, Jaren Jackson, Miles Bridges, Mat Ishbia - all of my Spartan family to come in and let's do something in honor of Adreian."
"If that's naming something on the campus after him, if that is some scholarships for some kids from Dayton, whatever that is, I call on my Spartan family to bend together and do something in Adreian's name," the Warriors forward continued.
"I'm going to go home and talk about Adreian, and talk a little bit about this game, but I can do it at my own speed and at my own pace," Green explained. "I apologize, I'll give you guys the greatest press conference after Wednesday's game, but I just don't have it in me tonight, I truly apologize."
The former Michigan State Spartans stars played two seasons together. Payne averaged 16.4 points and 7.3 rebounds per game for the university and led the team to the Elite Eight during the 2013-14 season.
