The NBA project was short-lived once again. Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem released former 10th NBA overall pick Thon Maker after a disappointing stint in Israel.

Hapoel Jerusalem currently stand 2nd in the Group B of the Basketball Champions League with only one game remaining. The Israeli club will battle BAXI Manresa for the better spot in the play-in tournament.
The South Sudanese-Australian big man was signed with big hopes back in August. Maker played a total of 263 games in the NBA prior to the signing, averaging 4.6 points and 2.8 rebounds on 14 minutes of play.
Milwaukee Bucks selected Maker 10th overall in the 2016 NBA draft, but his NBA career did not go as planned. Hapoel currently employs another former NBA hope, Anthony Bennett. After rumors of parting ways with the team, the player is continuing to play until the end of the season.
