FC Barcelona squandered the chance to win the EuroLeague second year in a row after losing against Real Madrid in the semifinal.

One of the people who watched the game in the arena was the legendary Dejan Bodiroga. He later shared his thoughts about the match with the Spanish broadcaster DAZN.
"It has been a great semifinal. The small details have decided the game," Bodiroga said. "Barcelona controlled the game in the first half but lost the pace in the third quarter. Madrid erased an 11-point deficit too fast."
"Llull’s experience was clear, Yabusele did a great game and Causeur was awesome. They changed the game," the legendary forward explained. "Until the last moment, it has been kind of uncertain. Barcelona seemed to bounce back, but they could not. It’s hard to explain how they squandered 11 points."
After leading by 11 at halftime, Barca lost the third quarter by 15 points and ultimately lost the match. "Huge disappointment for us. There's no question. I think we were the better team, but we're not going to play in the final. That's a reality," Barcelona's head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius said.
"We did a great effort the whole game, playing against a great team. We had 3-4 poor minutes in the second quarter, and they killed us," Real Madrid's head coach Pablo Laso admitted.
"I'm happy that players understood the game plan, and they stayed focused on it. When everyone at halftime thought that we are finished, we stayed in the game. We were looking for the best situations on both ends, and we got a victory," the coach smiled.
