The Italian wing, who's projected to be a second-round pick, told to Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News that he was interviewed by the San Antonio Spurs during the combine.

Claudio Crippa, an international scout for the San Antonio Spurs, had watched Procida in Italy multiple times over the course of the season, sources told BasketNews. Among the San Antonio Spurs executives who talked with Procida, there was also Argentinian legend Manu Ginobili.

In September of 2021, Ginobili became a special advisor to the San Antonio Spurs basketball operations.

Procida confessed that it was an honor to meet and talk with Ginobili.

"We spoke in Italian, it was great to meet him", Procida said to Orsborn.

The Italian wing averaged 7 points and 3 rebounds per game this season with Fortitudo Bologna. Although he had signed a multi-year deal with the club in the past summer, he's now a free agent since the team got relegated to the second division, which in Italy doesn't hold a professional status.
