The Serbian guard had 15 points (1/5 2PT, 4/11 3PT, 1/4 FT), 6 rebounds, 9 assists, 2 turnovers, and 12 PIR in the semifinal. On top of that, he drained a buzzer-beater to sink Olympiacos Piraeus.
"Thank you everyone for being in the gym. Thanks to all the fans participating in the Final Four. I'm honestly speechless. 4 years ago I played here and won third place. This time we won the title. I want to congratulate my teammates and Real Madrid on a great game," Micic spoke after the final.
"This one still feels amazing. Not much changed since five minutes ago. Still, I am speechless," he said after receiving the MVP award from EuroLeague legend Vassilis Spanoulis. "These achievements will stay with me all my life. This would be impossible without my teammates. Four amazing years together, two titles. Team results are more important."
Micic won the Alphonso Ford EuroLeague Top Scorer Trophy and was named to the 2021-22 All-EuroLeague Second Team this season.
