Despite his team, Germani Brescia, getting eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by Dinamo Sassari, point guard Naz Mitrou-Long was able to make history regardless. The Canadian player finished with 38 points and 7 assists in Game 4 of the series against Sassari.

The 38-points performance represents the best scoring effort in the last 19 years of the Italian playoffs. Back in 2003, Italian legend Carlton Myers had 40 points in Game 4 of the series between Virtus Roma and Napoli Basket.

Mitrou-Long also improved his season-high with tonight's performance. His previous one was 34 points. The Canadian point guard was named Rookie of the season in the Italian Serie A and will be one of the hottest names on the market this summer.
