Dillon Brooks suspended one game for receiving 18th technical foul
Memphis Grizzlies wingDillon Brooks has been suspended one game without pay for receivinghis 18th technical foul of the 2022-23 season, it was announcedtoday by NBA executive vice president and head of basketballoperations Joe Dumars.
Under NBA rules, aplayer or coach is automatically suspended without pay for one gameonce he receives his 16thtechnical foul during aregular season. For every two additional technical fouls receivedduring that regular season, the player or coach will beautomatically suspended without pay for an additional game.
Brooks received hismost recent technical foul with 7:26 remaining in the third quarterof the Grizzlies’ 112-108 victory over the Dallas Mavericks onMarch 20 at FedExForum. He received this latest tech for tauntingthe Mavericks' bench after a dunk:

This is the second time the NBA has punishedBrooks in the last week, as he was also fined $35,000 for "theunsportsmanlike act of shoving a camera person on the sidelineafter pursuing a loose ball," the NBA announced last Friday.
This season, Brooks isaveraging 14.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.9 threes,while shooting 39.1% from the field, 32.4% from three-point rangeand 79.3% from the free-throw line.
The Grizzlies arecurrently 44-27, which is the second-best record in the WesternConference.
