Former Los Angeles Lakers player and two-time NBA champion Slava Medvedenko is now fighting for his country, Ukraine, after the Russian invasion he decided to remain in his country and he's helping out in any way he can, both on the ground and financially.

Now Medvedenko has officially started the process of selling his championship rings and he asked for the Los Angeles Lakers' assistance.
The NBA franchise answered quickly and has already confirmed that they'll replace Medvedenko rings when he'll be able to sell them. The Lakers also offered to send multiple shipments of sports gear to Ukraine, where Medvdenko plans to run a basketball camp for children affected by war.
"I'm proud that we're an organization that our former players know when they need help that somebody will answer their call", Jeanie Buss, Lakers controlling owner, stated recently.
"During his playing days, Slava was the ultimate role player", Buss added. "Playing basketball isn't life or death, but it's a reflection of who we are and what we bring".
